It’s always a hassle, especially when she figures that they’re above the rank of doing grunt footwork - but maybe she’s been wrong this entire time. Rocket was so high maintenance, but here she is, hiding out somewhere on her own for a little while, not daring to contact until she’s certain that she hears nothing (she’s blessed now with an acute sense of hearing, and her slimmer stature and thankfully help her fit through smaller spaces).[break][break]

When she hears the airy pants through the ear piece, she’s letting out soft huffs of her own, with a glitchy, blue and red pokemon at her side. “Yeah.. In the clear.” She’s bent over, with arms against her knees, catching her breath with a large bag on her back and over her shoulder. “Sounds like..” she takes a huff, before wearing a smile “You in need of some help there, Tahuna?~”

”Oh, fuck off, ya blind bitch…! Ya ain’t the one that’s a fuckup away from bein’ caught...!” he barked, furrowing his brows further as he hooked around yet another corner. Another cursory glance behind him had been all it took for him to search along his waist for the capsules fastened along his belt, and as he snapped his gaze onto the path before him once more, he’d barely freed one of the creatures from their confines, finding himself dashing alongside a familiar Sharpedo. ”If you’re gonna fuckin’ help me, then just say it! We’re on a schedule, here!”[break][break]

With another, quick shift of the weight against his shoulder, he grasped the strap of the bag he hauled along within a tighter manner before leaping, pulling himself onto the selfsame beast that he’d called out only moments after it manifested. Rough scales and skin would be something he’d have to just put up with until he was in the clear, so with only a quick second to secure himself as much as possible, he leaned further against the shark’s back, urging it to jet forward as fast as possible.[break][break]

A sadistic blind bitch, [break][break]

But not someone who would leave him behind, that's for sure. New mission: Make sure Inigo got out of there safe and sound. That should be easy enough to do, right? She adjusts the mask against her face, bright red lens almost glowing beneath the black-dyed hair she fashions for the mission. In a much more leisurely manner, she pulls out the red and white capsule to release a metagross beside her. [break][break]

It's standard movement, so she can hop onto its back before lightly tapping her ankle against the side. "Magnet rise, we're off to find Tahuna." she says to the pokemon, whose body gradually floats into the air, with arms moving inwards to its main body. She gets herself situated, and the three zip into the air, until they can reach the water's surface. [break][break]

And there she pulls out the communication channel again, eyes open with a red glow, the same her metagross emits to share vision via psychic. "Not to far, from the look of it." she keeps a grip on the steel pokemon's body, until she can see the waves that crash against the water's surface, from a familiar looking shark. [break][break]

"Are they still on your--" She's about to ask, before seeing a few trainers mounting their flying pokemon, and some water pokemon, giving chase. "Still on your tail. Oi! Both of you, close your eyes!" [break][break]

Is all the warning he gets and, with a quick tap, she calls for the metagross to get closer to the water's surface. "C'mon lil guy!" She holds the porygon-z before her, the little thing glitching erratically in her fingers. "Signal Beam!" [break][break]

The command is given, and from the porygon-z's body, an erratic light emits from its body, aimed at the metagross' CLEAR BODY to reflect off.. many, many lights, in succession.

If he had the time and luxury to pause, he absolutely would’ve— but with the group of trainers following uncomfortably close behind him, he settled with nothing short of a stressed furrow of the brow, alongside a quick glance around his surroundings again.[break][break]

”The fuck do you mean, close—” he’d begun to yell in frustration, only to cut himself off at the sight and shine of a familiar trio of Pokemon and trainer. The moment’s worth of confusion hidden upon his face had been quick to contort into a brief look of disbelief and fear as memories of past excursions crossed his mind.[break][break]

Just closing his eyes reminded him of how much the light stung.[break]
The image. The afterimage. It still haunted his waking nightmares.[break][break]

And so with a quick jolt and a signal to his Sharpedo to stop, he reached an arm around as far as he could to cover its eyes, all while he pressed his face against its back and fin. He gritted his teeth as his remaining hand found purchase against the holster against his hip, and with only a decent amount of skepticism and tenseness, he waited.[break][break]

One second.[break]
Barely a second.[break][break]

Then the flash—thankfully toned down in lieu of the warning—even through his eyelids. Immediately after the brunt of it had went off, he quickly whipped himself and his Pokemon around to face the group tailing him. He pulled the gun from its confines as they found themselves blinded, firing towards them (though deliberately past them) before leaning forward again, urging his companion to hook back towards the city.[break][break]

”Make a line towards the outskirts of the city,” he called through the comms again, closely watching the shoreline and the streets as civilians who had heard the gunshot began to scatter. ”Keep low, too. Ya blinded a lotta people, but you’re still a fuckin’ sitting duck up there.”[break][break]

Ah, yes. [break][break]

This adrenaline, with the wind in her dark locks as the breeze hits her mask - this was the rush that she loved so dearly. Unfortunately, it was also a life or death situation, so as much a shame as it is, she can’t enjoy the moment. She may have blinded their pursuers, but neither of them were completely in the clear yet. So quickly, she taps the top of the metagross’ body, urging him to lower close to the water. [break][break]

She quickly throws the porygon-z back into the back of her hood, as the eccentric, glitchy pokemon clings on for dear life when they lower and skim over the surface. Her lips are curled into a smile as they go, a hand raising up to tap on the ear piece with a simple “Roger that~”, as she follows not too far away from the sharpedo that races towards the outskirts. Thankfully, she has eyes on the back of her head, too. The little porygon-z keeps an eye out, ready to inform the trainer of any trainers - and thankfully, there doesn’t seem to be anyone after their little display. As they begin to near the outskirts, she does another nudge (check-in) at her porygon-z, who only lets out a soft, mewling, glitchy cry. Looks like everything is okay. “Hey,” she starts, turning their communication back up “Are you okay after the flash? I didn’t exactly give either of you enough reaction time.”

For the sake of laying low, as well as an extra limb of safety, the Rocket had directed his accompanying beast further along the coast, rather than the town proper. Though the latter had been his initial plan, he felt as though there would still be a number of League personnel within the general vicinity, and thus did he opt to veer along and afar.[break][break]

A smaller cove had proven to be his solace as he began to recollect himself, only spending enough time to reaffix his bearings, as well as to ensure the safety of the products within the bag he’d so hurriedly and carefully set forth to transport and protect. Quick counts—and then double checks that turned into triple checks—had been conducted within a swift amount of time, though he’d simply remained within the sanctity of the coastal cavern as a means of waiting the figurative storm out.[break][break]

Before long, however, he found himself prying his attention away from any possible noises that surfaced amidst the waves and tide, instead noting the words that met his ears. With a small, smirking quirk of the lip, he chuckled, still keeping a keen eye upon the waves afar as he pressed a finger against a button upon his wrist for just a moment, opening his end of the line.[break][break]

”Could be better,” he sighed, clicking his tongue, ”but I damn well could be worse, too.”[break][break]

He took a brief pause to listen to his surroundings once more.[break]
Silent, save for the waters. Clear enough.[break][break]

"More or less." She sighs, shortly after nudging at the Metagross. The fact that she can feel him slowing down is enough of a sign to tell her that they're in the clear. At least, for the most part, and it shouldn't take long for them to make it safely. A soft chuckle can be heard from her end of the line as her body relaxes. [break][break]

"Glad to hear that you're both doin' alright~" her body lowers, slightly, to lean against the Metagross' body a tad bit more. "And no injuries during the chase?" fingers tug at the blindfold over her eyes, for a bright, red gaze to reflect off the ocean waves. Though normally she couldn't watch the ripples in the water, the soft, blue glow of a Metagross' PSYCHIC showed her the image of sparkling waves. [break][break]

Adjusting the sack of goods on her back, she hums "I'm surprised they caught up to you~"

He took a deep breath before glancing down towards the bag residing upon him once more, ensuring its security once more before calling his Sharpedo over. Like before, he reached up towards its fin once more, using it as a source of stability as he mounted upon it for another time that day.[break][break]

”That said, though, just sit tight,” he added, softly tapping his foot against the beast’s back as he crouched down upon it. His grasp tightened as he began to move again. ”Unless somethin’ else fucks me up, I’m on my way. Maybe fifteen minutes tops for safety.”[break][break]

Her heel lightly taps against the top of the Metagross' head, a smile on her lips as she hums, feeling the breeze against the sides of her head and against her neck. Still, her eyes narrow slightly at the pack she has on her back, and she has to wonder what was so important, that they had to send so many people chasing after the two of them? [break][break]

It's understandable if it were boxes and boxes of cargo, but it doesn't look to be the case. Ah, if only she could go back and ask, without being gunned down on the spot. But.. a few packs and bags worth of material? She can't help but to feel even a little suspicious. [break][break]

"C'mon, big guy." The smile she wears doesn't disappear, and instead it broadens as the two of them hover over the water. Her other hand reaches for the ear piece, activating it again, and opening the channel. "We can grab a bite once we report back in~" her lips press together, and she leans back, slightly on the pokemon.[break][break]

Or she could be waiting with a small snack to tide over the energy he used.
